World explorations in Wandlitz
Immigrants who have come to Brandenburg from Afghanistan, Iraq or Syria often have to cope with an unclear residence status. A life in suspense. This makes it difficult to arrive and settle down. The people also encounter an environment in which resentments against “newcomers” are voiced.
The project aims to bring refugees living in Berlin-Marzahn into contact with residents of the accommodation in Wandlitz, to explore interesting “worlds” of the place together with them, to practise German and to exchange ideas about what it means to become “familiar” with something, even if one is “in suspense” and many things are foreign.
During the activities, short videos, “audio postcards” and photos are created, which can be compiled into a personal photo book.
